Lush Bournemouth Relaunch

Yep, I know what you are thinking, what the hell does a Lush relaunch have to do with cycling? Well not a huge amount really! But as a member of a Bournemouth blogging community I received an invite to the opening of the fully refurbished Bournemouth store, and there’s a couple of things I like….

The team at lush have done a great job of sympathetically restoring the buildings outside, really showing off the stone arched windows, and inside its packed with cleverly displayed product. With a kitchen refurb coming my way soon I can definitely take a few tips from the interior design of the new store!

On the night I was welcomed with a glass of fizz and a shopping basket (well they do want to sell me stuff, kinda the idea), oh and my name on a lanyard. Hit the big time now, next years VIP pass to Monaco gp is in the bag. There were plenty of product demonstrations and, for those with an invite, free samples (keeping Charlie happy!) handed out by very helpful staff.

I purchased a couple of items that I have used before (this is where it actually relates to cycling). Firstly their Ultrabalm, a strong moisturiser that I use as a barrier cream on my face in winter weather (this is actually very good for wet weather cycling), and secondly one of their Hottie massage bars for post ride recovery, very relaxing and just as good as a Deep Heat style rub

A few freebies plus the Ultrabalm and Hottie massage bar

If you smell a Lush store when you are out and about you should pop in. There are plenty of products for us guys, including some great shaving lines, and with the run up to Christmas now in full swing……. easily something for your partners as well.

Thanks for the invite Lush!
