As home brew zwift setups go, I’m pretty happy with mine. Old Samsung 37” tv slapped on the wall, running from a MacBook Pro. Old elite turbo trainer with an ant+ speed and cadence sensor. I’m not riding with power but I’m still using zwift. This is a story all about how by bike got flipped turned upside down, and I’d like to take a minute just sit right there and tell you all about how I’ve stopped my tyres losing their air. In Bournemouth, Dorset, born and raised, on my road bikes where I spend most of my days, riding out training wearing Lusso all cool, trying to get some KOMs like a strava fool, heard that gravel bikes were what’s good, and there’s loads of fire tracks in my neighbourhood, I went on one gravel ride and I got scared, I got a silly little puncture and my tube lost its air. So I sat at my mac and wrote a post, on the solutions of how to puncture less than most, if I could say anything the solutions are there! I though man I’ll soon forget losing my air. So I finished up my post Monday at seven or eight, thinking the fix that I found couldn’t be greater, I looked at my bike, I was ready to travel, puncture proof wheels setup for gravel. . . More forest exploration. The new forest ponies do a pretty good job of keeping the grass short enough for you to ride a gravel bike all over the forest. There’s loads of single track, miles to explore. Get out there and do it. You don’t have to spend loads, in fact I built this gravel bike for under £150 (taking out parts I already had in my parts bin) and it’s super fun to ride. Want to know how?
